He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1992. Specialization in Respiratory System Diseases at the University of Milan in 1997.

He served at the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, Policlinico of Milan, San Donato Milanese and Humanitas in the departments of Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Emergency Room. He currently practices as a freelance specialist at different outpatient clinics in Milan and province, dealing with pulmonology and respiratory allergy.

Since twenty years he is working with Europe Assistance dealing with medical transport worldwide and has therefore gained a particular experience in medicine of travelers and in health emergencies.

The many years of experience as outpatient specialist were mainly addressed to study diseases related to cigarette smoking (COPD, emphysema, simple chronic bronchitis) and those in the field of respiratory allergology (bronchial asthma).

Specific is also the interest in the area of rare diseases such as those of autoimmune origin, in which lungs are frequently one of the major target organs.

He speaks fluent Swedish (mothertongue), Italian, Spanish and English.
